Amiga Format was the most prolific of all the Amiga magazines.
It was probably successful due to a good balance between game and serious content.
Good points
- It had a professional layout with generally high quality editing.
- It had a good coverage of Amiga products with a healthy mixture of reviews, articles and tutorials.
Bad
- Towards the end reviewers tended to overrate games.
- Redesigns of the magazine resulted in a shabbier looking magazine.
Goof ups
A monumental editing error was made in issue 36 resulting in an apology being printed in the following issue.
