The Daily Star ran a newspaper article entitled "Poppy Game Insult to our War Dead". British Legion chiefs and MPs branded the use of the poppy as appalling. Royal British Legion spokesman Dennis York said "This will offend millions at a time when they remember loved ones who gave their lives in war."
Amiga Power relented to the pressure and bad publicity and changed it's cover at the last minute. The original cover can be seen in all it's glory in the Pages tab! |
