I have some magazine scans you are missing! What should I do?
We would be very grateful for any scans we are missing!
Please stick to the scan sizes above!
The magazine is too large for my scanner. What do I do?
Scan it in several parts. Try to keep the scans as straight as
possible, with enough overlap between the scans and submit the parts. We will
then recomposite the scans.
Why are some of the magazine scans black and white?
This indicates that the scan is not big enough or of a sufficient quality
and we would like a replacement scan! Hopefully it will encourage those of
you with the magazine to scan it for us! :)
What's the deal with the ratings? Why do I see scores of 74%, then 8/10, then 76%?
Most magazines reviewed games and marked them as a percentage out of 100. Other magazines
used ratings out of 5 or 10.
When a magazine scored games out of 10, they would quite often give a game a score of 10/10
which would convert to a rating of 100%! This would throw out all the top 100 reviews section
because a load of games would have scored a perfect mark.
The Amiga Magazine Rack method of sorting scores takes the middle mark for the ratings.
For example, a game scoring 8 stars out of 10 would have gotten a score somewhere
between 70% and 80%. The middle mark is therefore 75% and that is why the game would appear
between 74% and 76% in the table.

Similarly for scores out of 5, we break up the 100% range into 5 even blocks,
and take the middle score from each block to work out where the game should appear:

What is the naming format for compilations that do not have a title?
List the games with a semicolon separating each title. For example:
Bug Bash; Nucleus
Humans; Humans 2
Overkill; Lunar-C
I notice there are a lot of reviews missing. How can I help?
Indexing all the reviews from magazines takes a long time. We currently have over 10,000 reviews
but would happily accept any that are missing. If you wish to help, please download the following
Excel template and fill it in for any issues you have.
